Step one:
  • Start with a white background canvas. First were going to create the main case.
  • In a new layer, use the rectangle tool with radius of 4 px to create a #F2F2F4 case. In this tutorial the size of ths case is 115 x 419 px.
  • Add the following layer styles.

    Structure Blend Mode: Multiply
    Color: #AFAFAF
    Opacity: 75
    Angle: 120
    Use Global Light: Check
    Distance: 2
    Spread: 0
    Size: 0
    Quality Contour: Default

    Step two:
  • The case is still looking flat on the top so were going to add shadow details. First go to Select > Load selection > Default to select the entire case then grab the Lasso tool and cut out 50% of the selection in the middle.
  • Create a new layer and fill selection with #00000.
  • Go to Filter > Blur > Motion blur > Angle: 90 || Distance 16 px.
  • Set the blending mode to Hard light and opacity level of 7 %.
