Step one:

Start with a #454545 canvas. Make a new layer-set called Glass plate text.

Type your name using font Minion, Regular, 30pt, Sharp and white ink.

Add the following layer styles: Outer Glow, Stroke.

Set layer's blending mode to Darken.



Step two:

With the text layer selected, Go to Select > Load Selection > Default. Then go back to Select > Modify > Expand > Expanded by: 4px.

In a new layer fill selection with #191919 ink.

Add the following layer styles: Gradient Overlay, Stroke.
