Step one:

Create a new layer-set called Alienhead.

Start with a black background. In a new layer, draw a #E70000 circle.

For exact results, draw the circle with this settings in fixed size under circle option = W: 70px and H: 70px.

Add the following layer styles: Inner Glow, Satin.

Step two:

Select Polygon tool, under polygon options check smooth cornerss and add 3 sides.
